BACKGROUND

In 1963, an engineering and construction firm was established through the collaboration of three visionary engineers — Mr. Suchart Areekul, Mr. Arthaya Talaluck, and Mr. Somjet Tintukasiri — under the name “A.S. Associate Engineering Partnership.”
In 1964, the company was officially renamed A.S. Associated Engineering (1964) Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 1 million baht. The firm expanded its operations to provide comprehensive construction and engineering services across all disciplines.
In 1967, the company embarked on its first national large-scale highway project — the rehabilitation and asphalt resurfacing of Highway No. 201. This marked a major milestone, establishing the company as one of Thailand’s leading contractors in highway and road infrastructure development
In 1968, the company undertook the construction of the concrete aircraft parking apron and taxiway at Takhli Airport in Nakhon Sawan Province. This project marked an important step in expanding the company’s capabilities into aviation and specialized infrastructure works, reinforcing its growing reputation for technical precision and engineering excellence”
In 1983, A.S. Associated Engineering (1964) Co., Ltd. became the first Thai private construction company entrusted with a railway construction project — the Chachoengsao–Sattahip Line. This achievement represented a proud milestone in the company’s history
In 1986, the company was entrusted with the construction of a water transmission tunnel for the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority, Bangkok. The project involved the installation of a 2.30-meter-diameter pipeline extending 3,016 meters, along with a 362-meter section of pipe jacking under existing structures. This highly technical project demonstrated the company’s growing expertise in urban infrastructure and underground construction
In 1987, the company was honored to be the only Thai company among eight contractors selected to undertake a turnkey project for the Telephone Organization of Thailand.
In 1988, the company undertook the construction of a transit shed at the deep-water port in Songkhla Province.
In 1992, the company contributed to the country’s industrial growth by developing and installing essential public utilities in the Map Ta Phut and Laem Chabang Industrial Estates, as part of the Eastern Seaboard Development Project.
In 1997, the company was selected for the reconstruction of railway sections damaged by flooding as part of the Pa Sak River Basin Development Project, initiated under the Royal Initiative.
Until now - A.S. Associated Engineering (1964) Co., Ltd. continues to uphold the same standards of excellence and reliability that have defined its work for over six decades.
